November Favourites 2014 ♡

Hey guys! Hope you've all had a lovely weekend!

Today is favourites daaaaay! I really enjoying these posts because it's nice to just reflect on your month and see what you have been loving. So, November. Wow. I literally cannot believe it's already December and we'll soon be welcoming 2015, it's crazy because I feel like this year has whizzed past. I have to say though, I feel like every year is a new chapter so I'm excited to see what's in store for me next year haha! Anyway, enough of rambling, let me tell you what I've been loving this month:

From left to right, here are my November faves:

Biker Coat: H&M
Turtleneck Jumper: H&M
Ankle boots: New Look
Batiste Dry Shampoo
Essence 2in1 Eyeliner Pen
No7 Extreme Length Extend Mascara
Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water

Clothes-wise, I have probably been wearing those 3 clothing items waaay too often this month but there is no reason why not! The jacket is surprisingly warm and it goes with pretty much any outfit, the new look boots are so comfortable that you just want to walk around in them all day. A dry shampoo has been a must-have because it's great not only for second day hair but also to add volume and texture. The 2in1 eye liner by essence is a must have! It is so inexpensive and the quality is amazing.
All month I have been removing my make up with the cleansing water by Garnier which makes it so easy to even get off waterproof mascara and eyeliner..and that says a lot!

QOTD: what was your most use item this month?

Thanks for reading!

Comfy/Lazy OOTD ♡ Fall

Heeeeeey!  XO

So it's saturday and not only does that mean no school, but it also means I'm super lazy! But since I had to get out of the house (otherwise I'd literally be a couch potato all day) I thought I'd put on something comfy as well as warm.

I know what you're thinking! A crop top in fall?! Yeah, I asked myself that question too. I have this weird obsession with crop tops and until it starts properly snowing, I will carry on wearing them (joke, probably not). Today wasn't actually that cold when I left the house,  hence why my outfit is a bit less fall-y.  The thing with fall is that I love how you can wear any outfit you want and if it's cold just throw a sweater on top of it. Simple as that.

Outfit details:

Cropped top: Miss Selfridge
Leggings- Zara
Shoes- Nike Roshe Runs
Sweater- Sainsbury's

Have a good weekend!

10 things I love about fall ♡

Hello there! I hope you're having a lovely week so far XO

Since fall is here and you can definitely feel it outside, I thought I'd post something positive about it. Even though I hate the cold and the rain and the wind, there are things that make fall (or autumn, however you call it) a lot more enjoyable!
Oh and I thought this picture went with the theme of fall because sweaters, duh ;)

1. SWEATERS

They're cute and comfy and there's nothing better than just throwing on a sweater on a chilly day! Whether they're oversized or cropped, they look good with anything. Literally anything. Leggings, jeans, skirts, you name it.

2. GOOD BOOKS

A good book is my essential all year round to be honest haha, but since it's cold outside and I'm usually indoors (anti-social alert haha) I like to just get a blanket, a cup of tea and read. It's relaxing, reduces stress and it's entertaining! Recently, I've really been into books by John Green.

3. HOT COFFEE

Up until November, I have been drinking iced coffees all the time (no exaggeration)! So because it's now way too cold to drink iced drinks, I will be drinking hot coffees from now on! Today I've had a caramel latte from Costa and I have to say, it tasted amaaaaazing.

4. VAMPY LIPS

This is probably the most common one, but who doesn't love a good dark lip? I can't wait to finally wear it (yep, this year I will pluck up the courage to wear it) because all I've been doing until now is just looking at my dark lipsticks, as sad as that sounds they make me happy haha.

5. SCARVES

Just scarves. Normal ones or snoods, they make an outfit look a lot more put together and it just gets everyone in the winter spirit. The downside of this is that it's cold outside (as you've probably noticed, I hate cold weather) BUT other than that, they're cosy.

6. NATURE

I don't know about you guys but I absolutely love it when the outside looks so autumn-y with orange and red colours on trees and the crisp leaves on the pavements. It's just such a beautiful scenery.

7, ME TIME

If you're like me and you prefer to avoid the cold, me-time is something I appreciate very much. It's lovely to just cuddle up with blankets, some candles and reflecting. In my me-time I like to read books, write in my calendar diary, watch movies, yoga to de-stress. Something that I want to do this fall is to make a list and every single day write something I'm thankful for because sometimes we just need to appreciate the little things.

8. MOVIE NIGHTS

Getting the popcorn and snacks out and cosy-ing up on the sofa is the perfect evening for the fall time. Or even in the cinemas. I just love movies in general. A recent movie that I've watched in the cinemas and I've really enjoyed has been "Love, Rosie".

9. LONG WALKS

Okay this might be contradicting what I've said before about hating the cold but I do love going on long walks in the weather. Yes, it's cold but just walking around and going to parks to see how different it looks in the fall time is one my fave things to do. And then going home and drinking a hot drink, yessssss!

10.  SEASONAL DECORATIONS

It makes me really excited to see fall decorations or even Christmas decorations in shops and out and about. They just really get you in the spirit and I love it.

I'm welcoming fall with open arms and you should too!
What's your favourite thing about fall? X

Perfect winged eye-liner tip ♡

Hello everyone! I hope you've all had a fabulous weekend!

Today's post is something a lot of us struggle with (including myself) and that is...the dreaded winged liner! Who out there is guilty of ditching the eye liner because it's too difficult and time consuming? *slowly raises hand*  BUT DON'T WORRY! I'm here to help! This tip is not something I thought of myself but I have seen it around YouTube a few times and I thought it was a genius idea so I'm posting it here today. Before I explain the steps, I'd like to just say that:
1) that is not a grey hair in the top picture, it's the lighting. I promise. I'm 15.
2) Excuse the creased concealer, unfortunately it happens.
3) the picture of the eye liner might not look great on the picture, but it turned out better than it looks on this!

Okay now we can begin!

Things you'll need: tape, scissors and an eye liner (I used a felt tip eye liner by Essence)

  • Cut some tape and stick it so it goes from your bottom lashes to the end of your eyebrow
  • Then tear another bit of tape (cut it in half otherwise you'll get it in your eyebrow) and stick it at an angle where you want the wing to be
  • Take your fave eye liner and colour in the wing and if possible, along the lashline (I stuck my tape too low so I couldn't)
  • Slowly peel the tape back. If you've used a liquid eye liner, wait a while until it dries otherwise it'll smudge!
  • Perfect the wing if needed
  • THAT'S IT!

I do have to say, it is a bit of a time consuming process because of when you are cutting tape but once you get the hang of it, it should become easier! I really love this method because it's just so easy, you literally have a template of the winged eye liner!

Let me know how this trick turned out for you!

My favourite fall lip colour ♡ (Collection Gothic Glam lipstick review)

Hello everyone!

Today I'm going to be talking a little bit about my absolute FAVOURITE lipstick for the fall/winter time. It is from the Collection Gothic Glam range in the shade 03 Revenge.

These are just some pictures I have taken to give you more of an idea of what it looks like. (Please excuse the unopened cacti, I thought they looked pretty cute though)

I have had this lipstick for a while now, hence the smudged packaging, but I have re-discovered it and realised how much I love it. At £2.99, the quality of this lipstick is out of this world. Let's start off with how pigmented it is- in the third picture, that is the colour pay off after one stroke. Amazing, huh? It glides onto the lips very smoothly without leaving them dry which is so important to me since I have awfully dry lips. The longevity is also fantastic and although I haven't worn it for a whole entire day, it has stayed put without smudging (something I'm cautious of especially with dark colours). All in all, I am SUPER impressed with this product and I can't wait to use it more often. I would definitely like to try out some more lipsticks by Collection because if they're as good as this one, I need them all!
Have you tried any lipsticks by Collection? If so, what ones and how do you feel about them?
